* Knoppix ADRIANE v1.1 (на тестовой машине нашёл всё устройства, даже wifi, подключился к сети после введения ключика)

* DSL linux 4.4.10 (грузится быстро, добавил вариант с RAM загрузкой потомучто образ небольшой. Пока грузится в рам ждите, на экране просто мигает курсор)
* Hiren's BootCD 9.7 RUS
Воснове загрузчик GRUB, который записан прямо в загрухочный сектор, а не вызывается загрузчиком винды, как в других сборках для флэшек. Это экономит 5-7 секунд и адресное пространство. Загрузчик устанавливал ручками, поэтому искал средство для записи точной копии образа на флэшку, чтобы другие не мучались при распаковке его на носитель. Это первая версия такой многовариантной загрузочной сборки, поэтому пишите комментарии, чтобы улучшить её полезность и было основание делать обновления.
Образ нужно записать на флэшку или жёсткий диск объёмом 2 ГБ или больше. При этом там останется примерно 300 МБ свободного места под Ваши нуждв или под файлы данных Knoppixa. Сейчас добавлю скринов и инструкцию по извлечению образа. Все вопросы про вирусы пишите в соответствующие темы.

GOAL

Implementation of an easy-to-use desktop system, which can be used entirely without vision oriented output devices. Especially access to standard internet services like email, www and using mobile phone extension services like SMS (over the users own mobile phone via bluetooth) are supported.

MEDIA

Live-CD or flash disk based on Debian/Knoppix, which is also easily installable.
TARGET AUDIENCE

Especially blind people, who have no or very few computer skills, and/or have had bad encounters with graphic-focused computer interfaces with a badly designed graphical screenreader audio adapter. But also people with normal vision, who prefer an uncomplicated textual user interface with a step-by-step menu interface, instead of an icon/animation-overloaded and over-complex graphical desktop.

STATUS

A dialog-based menu, supported by speech output (optional: with USB or bluetooth braille device), provides access to various programs and functions, for example speech-aided surfing in the internet through the elinks web browser, email with mutt, note-book, pocket-calculator and contact-management, sending and receiving of SMS via bluetooth-capable cellphone. All supported functions can run on the text- or framebuffer-console, but in case it's needed, elinks can also display pictures and graphics on the framebuffer without an X-Server running. With manual installation and individual settings, the system is already a good start fur computer beginners. ADRIANE is included in the KNOPPIX live distribution starting from version 5.3.

TECHNOLOGY

Currently, ADRIANE uses the SBL (SuSE-Blind-Linux Screenreader & More from Marco Skambraks with a few extensions by Klaus Knopper), and espeak as speech engine for the german voice.

TODO

In the distributed version, currently espeak is being used, which is a fully synthetic, but also completely free speech engine. The menu is being extended with useful addons. A configuration menu for "advanced users", who want to install and configure the system on their own, should be added step-by-step. User-level Documentation for the main applications must be written and updated (though most of the programs are quite easy to figure out on their own), also for the default keyboard/speech functions that are available.[/spoiler]

[spoiler=Про DSL linux]Damn Small Linux is a very versatile 50MB mini desktop oriented Linux distribution.

Damn Small is small enough and smart enough to do the following things:

DSL was originally developed as an experiment to see how many usable desktop applications can fit inside a 50MB live CD. It was at first just a personal tool/toy. xmms v1 (superseded by xmms2)

FlashPlayer only available as a backport, but swfdec-mozilla is installed by default.

Firmware : the following firmwares have been removed from Debian main.
This particularly affects network cards (which might be required for a net-install). In order to activate affected devices, the 'non-free' section has to be enabled.

Upgrade issues

[sparc] 2.6.26 kernel does not work with X.Org 7.0/7.1, but should work with 7.3; see lkml

On system with nfs, nfs-common MUST be upgraded before mount see #493095

As of 2.6.25 (and still in 2.6.26 in lenny), megraid_mbox kernel panics if you have non-RAID devices on the PERC3/DC RAID controller and possibly other Dell PERC3 models, see #490903

Upgrading over ssh when the connection is managed by NetworkManager can lead the upgrade failing/hanging when the NetworkManager service is restarted. If you are lucky, the ssh connection will not drop out; if you are unlucky, the ssh connection will drop out and at the next interactive point in the upgrade (e.g. dpkg "replace this file" or debconf) the entire upgrade is left in a horrible state.

Notes
a good start would be to review the programs in default tasks + the most installed programs not in tasks.

Releasenotes svn repository

The svn repository for the releasenotes is located at svn://svn.debian.org/svn/ddp/manuals/branches/release-notes/lenny

Due to license incompatibility, the content of the NewInLenny wiki page can't be copied to the release notes. (This isnt fully true anymore, the lenny release notes are GPL2 as is this page.)

So if you write some text, then you should also send a mail to the release-notes maintainers. (We won't repeat that mistake for Squeeze).[/spoiler]

0. Вставляем флэшку в юзб порт, Желательно чтобы она была отформатирована. ВСЯ ИНФОРМАЦИЯ ПОСЛЕ ЗАПИСИ ОБРАЗА НА ФЛЭШКУ БУДЕТ УТЕРЯНА!
1. запускаем программу Ghost32.exe в винде
2. Выбираем Local-Disk-From image
3. Указываем программе путь к файлу-образу
4. Указываем диск на который будет развёрнут образ. В данном случае флэшка объём 2 ГБ
5. Нажимаем ОК в этом диалоге. Проверяем детали диска, убеждаемся что собираемся писать именно на флэшку.
5+1. Будет выдан запрос на перезапись диска. Ответить Yes.
7. Ждём когда запишется образ. Потом выходим из программы. И можно уже грузиться с флэшки.[/spoiler]
